Helpful tips before you move!

  • Call your lawyer and schedule a meeting to discuss closing arrangements.  It is important to have a meeting scheduled with your lawyer at least 8 days before the closing date.
  • Make arrangements to obtain Property Insurance for your new home.
  • Book the movers.   You can visit www.ottawamoversdirectory.ca to select the movers of your choice!
  • Arrange to have Hydro, Enbridge, Internet, Phone and Cable connected on the day the sale closes to the address of your new home.
  • Call Canada Post and arrange to have your mail redirected to your new address.  Canada Post will need to change the lock and administer a new key
